VuDucGiang, chairman of the garment industry association (Vitas), attended the Vietnam Industrial and commercial department's summing up meeting in January 7th (2011). Although Vietnam's textile industry faced many difficulties last year, for example, the purchasing price of raw materials increased (cotton and fiber prices were 2 times higher than that of 2009), labor difficulties and interest rates of banks increased, only 11 billion 200 million of the textile products exported (Vietnam's plan to export to US $11 billion in 2015) increased by 23.2% over the previous year.

Vietnam's textile exports grew by 23.2% last year, leading to a global economic recovery and many China.

Spinning order

Transfer to Vietnam and so on.

Last year, Vietnam sold the traditional textile market and entered the market of Taiwan, Korea and ASEAN textiles. In addition, some of them also sold Turkey and Brazil markets.

Many garment and textile manufacturers in Vietnam were signed at the end of last year.

Textile export

Even in the first quarter of this year, even a small number of large-scale garment manufacturers have grasped the contracts for the export of textiles by the end of this year.

The average unit price of spinning products increased by 10% to 15% compared with last year.

Vietnam is expected to export $12 billion 700 million to $13 billion in textile products this year, to 18 billion to 20 billion dollars in 2015.

At the same time, the rate of homemade textiles in Vietnam is about 46%, which is estimated to increase to 68% to 70% by 2015.

In order to reach the goal of export planning, the Vietnamese garment and textile industry should suggest that the Ministry of industry and commerce should continue to negotiate with the rest of the world on the free trade agreement, provide the smooth conditions for the global distribution of Vietnamese textile products; the customs units should quickly launch electronic customs and shorten the export customs formalities; the power sector should stabilize the supply of electricity and avoid temporary power failure, causing losses to the manufacturers, especially the dyeing and finishing industry.
